It's happening! Part One

Woohoo!!  Marilyn's car is in my garage;  my car is in Betsy's driveway; and we, three, are at our gate in Tampa, awaiting our flight to JFK.  Marilyn and I arrived via Betsy's Uber service and Connie rode in style in her grandson's.  We received notice last night that our flight had been delayed an hour, which means that we only have a SEVEN hour layover in New York, where we will meet Ginger.  From there we will all fly together to Edinburgh.  So far, so good!

When I scanned my boarding pass, the gate attendant asked if it really was!  ??  Cheaper!!

It's an exercise in mirror writing!  It says, " Girls' Trip, cheaper than therapy"!
Hopefully this way we won't get lost!

 05-22-2022 A week from tomorrow we'll be off to visit Bonnie Scotland!!  The four of us, Connie, Ginger, Marilyn, and I (in alphabetical order, of course!) will be exploring the northern third of Great Britain from the Lowlands to the Highlands!!  Come join us! I admit it, this beautiful waterfall isn't in Scotland.  It's Amicalola Falls in north Georgia (the state);  but we're hoping to see other such gorgeous sights in Scotland!!  And I had to be sure that blogspot was still allowing photos to be imported!

Exploring Inverness

 06-11-2022 We've agreed to sleep in as long as we like, so we don't reach out fo Marilyn and Connie until ten thirty!!Everyone is ready for breakfast and we don't have to go very far before we discover Wild Pancakes, the Organic Pancake Company.  It's a tiny little place and it's full;  but we don't have to wait very long for a table,  Everyone gets something different and they all look terrific!  I get chocolate and orange pancakes and a decaf latte.  There's also strawberries and chocolate, blueberry cheesecake (it's a crepe) and bacon pancakes! It's not much bigger than this and the kitchen is about as big as one of their large tables! Brass leaves embedded in the sidewalk! Place your bets here! Always wondered where they got their kilts! Or here! How cool is this?? After breakfast we decide to move the car from where it is, because it doesn't belong there.  Ginger uses Waze to find the Rose Street Parking Building and we find aa spot that do...

We're Finally Here!!

 06-31-2022 Woohoo!  Ginger's here and the party can really begin!  She don's her official girls' trip t-shirt and we're ready to rock and roll! She's brought some homemade rhubarb pie!  She and Connie go off on a scavenger hunt for forks and we all dive in.  Thank you, Nick!  It's delicious.  Eventually it's time to board but there haven't been any announcements and we can see our pilot and co-pilot jus hanging out.  More time passes and the gate agent says that our plane is not at the gate (which we knew!) but is at a remote location!  We figure that means Jersey!  Or Winnipeg!  When we can see the plane approaching everyone applauds!  But it is still quite a while before we actually find ourselves on board.  When we finally take off it is after midnight.  Connie and Marilyn are sitting in Comfort Plus beside one another.  Ginger and I are in the main cabin;  but there is no one beside either of us and it'...
